Ok, here goes again! This time with pictures from Trier. I was having trouble with my camera this day, so a lot of them are pretty marginal. Sigh.
Also, not in any particular order.
I wasn't sure whether to be creeped out or charmed by this thing. The sign says "luck/happiness fountain: with only 1€ you can become happy. for kids and seniors, half price". He had hoses running up his fingers that he was using to spray people.
Here is a really poor picture of a cathedral.
Haha, look at the dude on the left.
Awesome building aaaaand... McDonalds!
There was a really nice baroque building here, but I have no idea what it was due to the fact that SOMEONE wasn't interested in anything but Roman ruins. Which all look about the same, by the way.
This is by far the best picture I got, and it was completely accidental!
Here's the city gate. Called the Black Gate or something similar.
Bad photo, same place.
Ah, here's the outside of that cathedral from earlier..
And a vaguely better picture
And some ruins. Baths.
And a cool building near the gate
No idea what this hulking monstrosity was
Ah, the amphitheater. We had to walk far, far out of our way to see this...
And another bath
Oh, and back in the cathedral! A couple of these are actually reasonably ok!
This thing was really cool, but I couldn't get a photo.. sigh.
Oh, and Karl Marx was born (lived?) here.
Back to the baths...
Oh, and here's that baroque building.
So there you have it!
